I know this is slightly overdue but the issue is still hot at hand. I’m sure the owners of the dead or missing cats of Petknode are still angry and waiting for justice to be done to the two perpetrators of this incident. Even the owners who have found their missing cats or whose cats are still alive made their way to Armada Hotel on last 5th September to support and lend their voices to the victims of Petknode. Two of those people were my parents.

For cat (and all other types of animals) lovers like us, we were shocked to hear about the dead, dying and missing cats that were left in Petknode’s care. What these men did are beyond my comprehension. Why they are so greedy to take in 300+ cats during the Eid-ul Fitr festive season when they themselves are short in staffs and are probably celebrating the festival themselves?
It is beyond me to know that some people can just leave these cats for 9 days without care or food and all their actions did not show even a small speck of guilt in their conscience! To know that they even tried to cover up their tracks even after the owners of the cats came to their company premises with police officers shows their guilt.
But then, it seems that these two monkeys are now missing. After they were released by the police, they’ve fallen off the face of the earth along with the pedigree cats that are “allegedly” lost. Who knows if maybe they stole the pedigree cats and sell them instead? Pedigree cats like Persians and Maine Coons are expensive. One can cost up to RM5,000. I should know, I’ve got Maine Coons myself.
What are the police doing? Why do they release these monkeys? Of course these SOB’s will run away for fear the cat owners will come after them. So, what should we do with these men, especially now that they’ve run away? Surely, we can’t just keep quiet and let them off so easily? If we do, who knows how many other criminals just like them will sprout in the near future?
How can I or you just leave it be after what they’ve done? They left cats to die from starvation in small cages. They let more than 1 cats sleep in cramped pet carriers in their own filth for 9 whole days! They couldn’t care less of newborn kittens. They couldn’t care less of lives that they neglected. They couldn’t care less that there are still lost cats out there. They couldn’t care the sorrow those cat owners went through because of their neglect.

If we lived in the stone age, I would recommend them be burned at the stake. 
But since we’re living in the 21st century, then we should do more than just fining them RM100,000 or two years jail time. Come on, these are lives we’re talking about, even if it’s animal lives, it’s still a life. Give them more jail time! Maybe we can add whipping too. I don’t know, what do you think?
So far the death toll of cats are 13 and 12 cat graves were found at one of the Petknode compound.
